Easy To Use

THE MAIN REASON HEAT AND FANS KILL BED BUGS SO WELL IS BECAUSE THE HEAT PENETRATES EVERYTHING IN THE INFESTED AREA AND ALL BED BUGS DIE QUICKLY AT 120° F

IN ORDER TO ALLOW THE HEAT TO PENETRATE ANYWHERE BED BUGS MIGHT BE HIDING YOU NEED TO CREATE ENOUGH SPACE SO THE HOT AIR CAN PENETRATE FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, CLOTHING, WALL HANGINGS, ETC.

  1. COVER ALL VENTS AND WINDOWS WITH PLASTIC SHEETING AND BLUE PAINTERS TAPE – NO AIR GETS IN, NO AIR GETS OUT DURING TREATMENT
  2. MOVE FURNITURE 3 FEET AWAY FROM WALL
  3. SEPARATE CLOTHES ON HANGERS, REMOVE SOME AS NEEDED AND DRAPE OVER FURNITURE
  4. LOOSEN CLOTHES IN DRAWERS, REMOVE SOME AS NEEDED AND DRAPE OVER FURNITURE
  5. LEAVE ELECTRONICS IN THE TREATMENT AREA BUT MAKE SURE THEY ARE TURNED OFF AND UNPLUGGED. DO NOT UNPLUG REFRIGERATOR.
  6. REMOVE FROM TREATMENT AREA ANYTHING THAT WILL MELT OR EXPLODE OR BE HARMED: PETS, PLANTS, CRAYONS, CANDLES, COSMETICS, AMMUNITION, FIREWORKS, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, AEROSOL CANS, ALCOHOLS, LIGHTERS, ETC. MEDICINES CAN BE PUT IN REFRIGERATOR. A MORE COMPLETE CHECKLIST WILL BE PROVIDED UPON PURCHASE
  7. USING FURNACE, BOILER, PTACS, SPACE HEATERS, ETC. PREHEAT THE AREA TO MAX TEMPERATURE FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT WHEN POSSIBLE.
  8. INSERT FIBER GLASS POLE INTO TOP OF HEATER AND ATTACH BLACK END OF THERMISTOR CORD TO TOP OF FIBERGLASS POLE WITH VELCRO STRAP PROVIDED.
  9. PLUG ORANGE HEATER CORD INTO 110/120V STANDARD WALL OUTLET TO ACTIVATE INTERNAL HEATER FAN
  10. MAKE SURE BLACK HEATER SWITCH IS IN “OFF” POSITION
  11. PLUG BLACK HEATER CORD(S) INTO STOVE, DRYER, GENERATOR OR TWO (2) SEPARATE PTAC OUTLETS OR DIRECTLY TO A 50 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER (USING A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS ENCOURAGED). CONNECT TWIST-LOCK CONNECTOR(S) AT OTHER END OF BLACK HEATER CORD UNDERNEATH THE AUTOMATIC THERMOSTAT CONTROL PANEL
  12. CONFIRM GREEN LIGHT IS “ON” AND TURN BLACK SWITCH ON TO ACTIVATE HEATER ELEMENTS.
  13. PLUG FAN #1 INTO STANDARD 110/120V WALL OUTLET 5-6’ AWAY FROM HEATER AND POINT AIRFLOW TOWARDS BOTTOM OF HEATER. ONLY OPERATES ON HIGH SETTING. LOW SETTING IS DEACTIVATED.
  14. NEVER ALLOW FAN TO DRAW HEAT FROM HEATER INTO IT AS IT WILL OVERHEAT AND DESTROY THE FAN MOTOR WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
  15. PLUG FAN #2 INTO STANDARD 110/120V WALL OUTLET AND ANGLE AT 45 DEGREES UP TOWARDS CEILING (TO CREATE CONVECTION VORTEX/TORNADO EFFECT)
  16. WAIT UNTIL TREATMENT AREA REACHES 120°F (90-120 MINUTES) AND PLACE PLASTIC MILK CRATES OR RISERS IN BETWEEN THE MATTRESS AND BOX SPRING OR LEAN THEM UP AGAINST EACH OTHER IN AN “A” CONFIGURATION.
  17. REMOVE ALL LIGHT SWITCH AND ELECTRICAL OUTLET PLATES FOR HEAT PENETRATION
  18. CONTINUE TREATMENT FOR 3-4 ADDITIONAL HOURS OR UNTIL INTERNAL/CORE TEMP OF FURNITURE REACHES 120°F. TIP: USE DIGITAL MEAT THERMOMETER
  19. TURN BLACK SWITCH TO “OFF” TO DEACTIVATE HEATER ELEMENTS
  20. ALLOW INTERNAL HEATER FAN TO RUN FOR 5-10 ADDITIONAL MINUTES WHILE HEATER ELEMENTS COOL DOWN
  21. UNPLUG ORANGE HEATER POWER CORD TO DISCONNECT INTERNAL HEATER FAN
  22. TURN OFF AND UNPLUG EXTERNAL FANS
  23. OPEN WINDOWS AND/OR TURN ON AC TO BRING TEMPERATURE DOWN TO NORMAL
  24. NO MORE BED BUGS!
